A complete set

Well, after a bunch of would-be Gaels, we’ve finally got a new bassist. His name is Brysen, and he rocks it hard. (Which means that Celtic is a little bit different for him.)

You’ll be able to see him perform with Whiskey Gaels for the first time this Friday, Feb. 4th, at Paddy Coyne’s in Bellevue. We’re on from 8-10, as per usual.

Yay! Welcome, Brysen.

A good man (woman?) is hard to find

Okay, that subject line stretches a bit.

Here’s the sitch: Right now Whiskey Gaels play without a bassist! We lost ours recently, and Christmas/NewYear causes schedule problems with auditions. Hopefully, we’ll meet someone amazing this week who can take off where our talented previous bassist left off.

Either way, we’ll be playing Paddy Coyne’s in Bellevue this week as an all-treble show. This means a stripped down, raw sound that might end up being a bit more folk-sounding. Or it might be a hard-core high-note-fest! No way to know till the time comes.
